Neishidake Mountain Lodge
根石岳山荘
Enjoy outstanding views of nearby Mt. Tengudake. Surrounded by blooming Dicentra peregrina, water from the highest spring in the Yatsugatake Mountains flows beside the mountain lodge. Sunrise and sunset views can both be enjoyed here. The breathtaking night view over the Suwa Basin and its star-filled sky is the true highlight of the mountain ridge.Baths using water from the spring next to the lodge are waiting for you. A mountain lodge with a carefree, relaxed, tasteful atmosphere.

- Elevation: 2,550 m. The Saddle of Mt. Neishidake and Mt. Mikaburi.

- 2 hr and 15 min from Sakuradaira, 4 hr and 40 min from Shibunoyu, 45 min to Mt. Higashi-Tengudake, and 1 hr and 25 min to Mt. Yokodake.

Established in 1918 Natsuzawa Kosen is a hot spring hotel with a history dating back approximately 100 years.
The Japan Alps’ 3rd and 5th highest peaks, Mt. Yarigatake and the Hotakadake mountain range, can be seen above a sea of clouds from the guestrooms and in front of the entrance. The 5th highest altitude hot spring in Japan.

- Elevation: 2,060 m. The best location to approach Mt. Iodake, Mt. Tengudake, and Mt. Akadake.
- Approach
- 30 min from Sakuradaira. 2 hr and 10 min to Mt. Yokodake, and 2 hr and 30 min to Mt. Tengudake. A recommended location to start your mountain hike.
